Why Chiropractic?

Chiropractic care works by removing the interference from the nervous system using chiropractic adjustment and allowing the body to heal naturally.  Because many of the health challenges and pain we experience as adults could’ve been prevented, we have a passion for providing chiropractic care to pregnant women, babies, children, and teens so they can grow up well and stay healthy.

We play and work hard, but without good maintenance, we can set ourselves up for pain and immobility later in our lives.  Our #1 goal is for you to stay mobile and healthy – so you can enjoy every day you’re given!

About Laura Murphy, DC, DICCP

Dr. Laura practiced in Williamsburg from 2006 – July 2018, and joined Seva Healing Arts Center in August 2018. Dr. Laura graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2005.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa.  She started her practice doing house calls in 2006 until she moved into her current location in August 2006.

Dr. Laura grew up a sick child with asthma and allergies that were helped by chiropractic care. She’s passionate about providing great care for pregnant women, babies, and children so the next generation doesn’t have to endure a childhood like hers.

Dr. Laura is trained in Webster’s Technique, which realigns the spine and releases tension in the soft tissue so that babies aren’t restricted from moving themselves into proper position.  She’s also board certified as a pediatric chiropractor following a rigorous 3-year post-graduate education program and enjoys working with patients of all ages to help them stay active and mobile!

Dr. Laura is an advocate for chiropractic both locally and internationally.  She’s participated in chiropractic missions trips in Jamaica and Manaus, Brazil.

Outside of the office, Dr. Laura enjoys spending time with her family, church family, and friends.  She’s active in ministry at Grace Community Church, and seeks to show the love of God to everyone she encounters.  In her free time, she can be found paddle-boarding, kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing, lifting weights and playing racquetball.
